This is the first european castle for me to visit.
The weather was so nice.
The castle in on a hill, the best place to build a castle.
The gate is smaller than I thought, and much smaller than that of Japanese castle.
To prevent being attacked, the smaller the better.
Before entering the castle, luggage check was operated.
From the castle, I could see everywhere in the city.
Extremely big canon is displayed.
The canon is not casted, but forged like japanese early rifle.
What does it mean ?
Many kinds of weapons were shown.
Why was such a european armer made of only metal ?
The way of thinking seems completely different from japanese armer.
This fireplace is the biggest I've ever seen.
Scottish climate demanded them to have bigger fireplace.
I had a misunderstanding.
I'd thought castle has only one huge building.
But in fact castle has many small buildings.
Didn't they carry material for big building because of small gate.
